Our Accessibility Plan and Equality Scheme

It is a firm policy of the Governing Body that no child should be denied access to any aspect of the school or its curriculum by reason of disability.

Our policy is also one of integration of all pupils insofar as this is practicable, and the Governors intend that any disabled pupil will, as far as possible, be treated on equal terms with other pupils.  We endeavour to provide information in an accessible format where practical.

For children with physical disabilities we are fortunate that our site and buildings present relatively few difficulties of access for wheelchair users or others with restricted mobility. The School’s policy is to provide aids such as ramps, handrails as may be required to aid access around the school.

The action plan regarding Disabled Pupils is summarised in Appendix 1 of the policy.
