From September 2014, all children in Reception – Year 2 are eligible to receive a Universal Infant Free School Meal. The Government made this decision because a good lunch makes an enormous difference to children’s health, development and ability to learn. It is also important that children develop good healthy eating habits to combat the rising problem of childhood obesity.

The Governors awarded the hot meals catering contract to Aspens who operate a 3 week rotation of menus throughout the year.

We offer free cooked meals for all our Reception and Key Stage 1 pupils.

The lunches are prepared and cooked locally and are of a high standard.

The majority of Key Stage 2 children bring a packed lunch but we are able to offer juniors cooked lunches.

If you are in receipt of Income Support or Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) – Income Based you are entitled to receive a free school meal for your child. Application forms are held in the School Office. All information is kept in strict confidence.
